Ninja Format & Scoring

Step into the thrilling world of Wild Ninja, where a 2-mile course is loaded with 42 obstacles of varied difficulty. The journey includes 10 obstacle stations, each representing an “animal challenge” that tests your skills and determination. As you conquer each obstacle, points accumulate towards your total score. The challenges progressively intensify, with the final animal challenge boasting 9 obstacles to clear.

Here’s the twist – even if you fail one obstacle,  you can still attempt and earn points by clearing the others within that same “animal challenge.” Wild Ninja is not for the faint of heart; it’s a true test of strength and perseverance. Are you ready to embrace the Wild Ninja spirit and take on this formidable 2-mile, 42-obstacle adventure?

Animal Challenges

The Basics

Each of the first 7 animal challenges offer 3 obstacles that progressively increase in difficulty: easy, medium, and hard. To score points, competitors must conquer these obstacles in successive order, starting with the easy one and advancing to the medium and hard ones.

The intensity increases with Animal Challenges 8, 9, and 10 as these obstacles are similar to those from the American Ninja Warrior tv show. Plus, these animal challenges contain 5, 7, and 9 obstacles, respectively, to conquer.

Scoring is simple – earn one point for each obstacle successfully completed. If you encounter a obstacle you can’t beat, no points will be awarded for that specific obstacle. Nevertheless, you can choose to attempt the next obstacle in the sequence. For example, if John fails the first (easy) obstacle in the orangutan animal challenge, he can still try the medium and hard obstacles for points if he wishes. However, he must attempt the obstacles in order and can’t skip the medium one to go directly to the hard one.

Scoring

Don’t Become Extinct!

Welcome to a unique and thrilling course where time takes a back seat, and success is measured by conquering obstacles! Here’s how it works: for each obstacle you complete, you earn 1 point. Your points from all challenges and obstacles will be tallied to determine your final score. The highest possible score is 42 points.

Participants will be classified into one of the 7 Red list categories displayed in the chart on the right, based on the points they accumulate.  Achieving this score grants you the prestigious LC (Least Concern) status. This means you’ve earned the title “unlikely to become extinct in the near future” – an impressive feat!

So, embrace the challenge, conquer those obstacles, and strive to attain the coveted “Least Concern” status. The more points you earn, the closer you’ll be to securing your place in the elite category of “least concern champions.”

Ninja Team Competition

Gather your “herd” and prepare to face other herds in this battle against extinction. Herds will migrate together where they can support each other as they individually face each obstacle, earning points for each obstacle they complete. Any herd of at least 2 men and 2 women will automatically be entered into our team competition where the overall score of the 2 highest men and 2 highest women in each herd will be combined to reach the team’s score.
